Which national parks can we visit while staying near Zadar?
Paklenica, Krka and Plitvice Lakes can each be planned as a road-based day trip from the Zadar area. Kornati is a sea excursion and depends on the selected boat, departure port, route and conditions.
Are all four national parks within a one- or two-hour drive?
No single drive-time promise is accurate. The selected entrance, departure point, traffic and season all matter, and Kornati is reached by boat rather than by driving into the park. Use live routing and official park or operator information for each day.
Which park is best for an active day?
Paklenica is the clearest choice for hiking and mountain terrain. Krka suits a river-and-heritage day, Plitvice a longer walking day through a managed lake system, and Kornati a boat-led day on the Adriatic.
Can we combine the parks with Zadar, Nin or Šibenik?
Zadar and Nin work best as their own slower city or coastal days. Šibenik can pair naturally with the wider Krka direction, but a full city day ending at Pelegrini is often more rewarding than forcing both into one schedule.
